Armageddon? Or Just an Earthquake?

Here we go again. God screws things up for no apparent reason, kills ten thousand, leaves hundreds of thousands homeless, and we have to clean up after him. He's angry! He's warning us!

Or ... maybe it was just another earthquake.

We need to set a new scientific standard: it's the smallest possible measurable increment of time known to science. It's defined as the almost-infinitesimal interval between when an earthquake ends and some religious ass declares it part of God's divine prophecies in the Holy Bible. Since the Japan earthquake, millions of blogs linking Japan and Biblical prophecy have popped up. It's disgusting.

Here's one of the worst, brought to you by the professional jerk known as Glenn Beck:
You can't see the connections here. I'm not saying God is causing earthquakes. I'm not not saying that either. What God does is God's business. ... But I'll tell you this. Whether you call it Gaia, or whether you call it Jesus, there's a message being sent! And that is, "Hey, you know that stuff we're doing? It's not really working out. Maybe we should stop doing some of it. *laughs* I'm just saying. ... Buckel up! Buckel up 'cause it's going to be a bumpy ride.
Beck ought to be ashamed of himself for capitalizing on the plight of the Japanese.

And so should everyone else who thinks this is Biblical prophecy. It's utter nonsense. Don't they know the sad and comical history of Armageddon prophecies? It seems like every year since the birth of Jesus someone has predicted doom. Two thousand failures, and we're supposed to believe this one? On top of that, Beck and his ilk show a stunning ignorance of history and geology. There is nothing unusual going on. This earthquake fits a historical pattern and is perfectly normal for that part of the world. Earthquakes like this have happened before and they'll happen again.

Why doesn't Beck use his fame to get donations? Instead of spouting drivel about Biblical prophecy, why isn't he giving out the donation line for the International Red Cross?

Beck and his fellow doomsdayers are taking attention away from the real issue: Our friends in Japan need our help.

So forget these nutjobs. Go to the American Red Cross 90999 web page, and give your donation now! All you have to do is text REDCROSS to 90999, and they'll get your $10 donation immediately. Or if you can afford more, you can donate any amount.

  1. Craig, I'm pretty sure this can be meaningfully expressed in small integer multiples of the Planck time.

Anyone saying that we should feel anything other than sympathy for Japan sickens me.

  2. OBAMA FULFILLING THE BIBLE

Can you guess which Bible verses Barack Hussein Obama likes to avoid?
Proverbs 19:10 (NIV): "It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury - how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!"
Also Proverbs 30:22 (NIV) which says that the earth cannot bear up under "a servant who becomes king."
And Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 (KJV) advises: "let thy words be few...a fool's voice is known by multitude of words."
Although Obama is not descended from slaves, he may feel that he's destined to become a black-slavery avenger.
Or maybe an enslaver of all free citizens!
For some stunning info on Pres. Obama and his fellow subversives, Google "Michelle Obama's Allah-day," "Obama Supports Public Depravity," "David Letterman's Hate Etc.," "Un-Americans Fight Franklin Graham" and also "Sandra Bernhard, Larry David, Kathy Griffin, Bill Maher, Joan Rivers, Sarah Silverman." Also Google "Prof. F. N. Lee's ISLAM IN THE BIBLE [PDF]."
PS - Since Christians are commanded to ask God to send severe judgment on persons who commit and support the worst forms of evil (see I Cor. 5 and note "taken away"), Christians everywhere should constantly pray that the Lord will soon "take away" or at least overthrow all US leaders who continue to sear their conscience and arrogantly trample the God-given rights of the majority including the rights of the unborn. Do we need a second American Revolution?
PPS - For a rare look at the 181-year-old endtime belief which has long neutralized millions of American patriots by promising them an "imminent rapture" off earth - which has diverted them away from being prepared to stand against all enemies, domestic as well as foreign - Google "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty," "Pretrib Rapture Diehards," "Edward Irving is Unnerving," "Pretrib Rapture Secrecy," and "Pretrib Rapture - Hidden Facts" - all by the author of the bestselling nonfiction book "The Rapture Plot" (the most accurate documentation on the pretrib rapture's long hidden birth in Britain in 1830 - see Armageddon Books). Also Google "Stamping Out Harold Camping."

  3. Wow. Every time I think it's calmed down, another crazy shows up.

There will always be religious folk who think a disaster of unfathomable proportions is some kind of divine act, whether it is a direct action taken by a divine being, or an act a divine being "let" happen, all for some sort of long con we just can't see with out mortal brains.

I had a co-worker in 2004 who suggested, with deadly seriousness, that the tsunami was God punishing Muslims for 9/11.

    Yeah.

Anyways, Glenn Beck is a windbag idiot who enjoys his positio of power over the ignorant without the responsibility of accuracy or honesty. I just wish more people who watched Glenn Beck then watched Jon Stewart.

  4. When I was a kid I lived in Utah, and the Boy Scouts was taken over by Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS Church). This, so called religion, practices underage polygamy, they send the boy s off on missions to divide the underage sisters among the dirty old men of the clan. Now when these underage girls get pregnant, these same dirty old men, send them to the state to get their welfare checks . You should see some of the palace homes that are paid with welfare checks (not on just one of course). By the way this is the newest religion that was created right here in United States of America, I guess their also in AZ, CA, NM, TX, NV, CO, OK. When someone hides behind religion to do or say something that is wrong we should stand up and point it out (right the wrong). Someone should ask Glenn Beck about it, he seems to have all the answers.
